Disease diagnosis and monitoring of animal health are essential for Agri-food industry.
LIBA offers its clients numerous possibilities in setting up health monitoring programs including testing profile, frequencies of testing, number of animals to be monitored, etc.
The routine testing of breeding animals includes serology, bacteriology, parasitology and is mostly undertaken on live animals.
LIBA provides a full range of diagnostic testing, including:
- Bacteriology: isolation, identification, typing and determination of antimicrobial susceptibilities of bacterial pathogens, as well as the isolation and identification parasitic pathogens from animals.
- Antimicrobial susceptibility: based upon the common antimicrobial products used to treat disease in specific industries, we determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentrations (MIC) for some agents upon request.

- Histopathology, with the preparation of stained tissue sections mounted on glass microscope slides.
